Nulojix is biologic therapy that is indicated for treating
- transplant rejection in adults who have received a kidney transplant
Nulojix is a biologic infusion therapy that helps prevent transplant rejection in adults who have received a kidney transplant.
Nulojix (belatacept) is a selective T-cell (lymphocyte, a type of white blood cell) costimulation blocker.
It binds to CD80 and CD86 on antigen-presenting cells, thereby blocking CD28 mediated costimulation of T-lymphocytes.
Nulojix treatments are given the day of your kidney transplant and then at four days, two weeks, four weeks, eight weeks, and twelve weeks after the transplant, with each infusion lasting roughly 30 minutes.
